France’s consumer agency reports Shein to prosecutors over childlike sex dolls, citing potential child pornography violations.
France’s consumer watchdog has reported Shein to prosecutors over the sale of sex dolls with childlike features, citing concerns they may constitute child pornography under EU law.
The DGCCRF said the dolls’ descriptions and categorization raised red flags, and that the site lacked proper filters to block minors.
Shein removed the items immediately and launched an internal investigation.
The incident occurred just before Shein was set to open its first physical store in Paris, drawing criticism from traditional retailers.
This follows three 2025 fines totaling 191 million euros for false advertising and environmental violations, with the European Commission also investigating Shein over potential illegal products.
La agencia de consumo de Francia denunció a Shein a los fiscales por las muñecas sexuales infantiles, citando posibles violaciones de pornografía infantil.
