Idaho State Police disclosed thousands of pages of records, including lab reports and evidence inventories, detailing DNA from items like used napkins, straws, and water bottles taken from Kohberger’s Pennsylvania home, which matched the suspect.
Though fingerprints on the sheath were inconclusive, genetic genealogy and post-arrest DNA samples confirmed his presence.
Investigators also examined items from Kohberger’s white Hyundai Elantra.
Initial reports noted early misidentification of victims and severe injuries, but crime scene photos remain restricted.
