Ridden by John Velazquez, the colt edged out Mr. A.P. by one length, becoming an early favorite for the 2026 Kentucky Derby. Trained by Todd Pletcher, who tied D. Wayne Lukas with his fifth Juvenile win, Ted Noffey is owned by Spendthrift Farm. The horse’s name stems from a misspelling of general manager Ned Toffey. Pletcher honored Lukas, who died in June, with a tie from Lukas’ widow. The win boosted Ted Noffey’s earnings to $1.66 million.
