Railway City Brewing launches veteran-focused beers to fund mental health support.
Railway City Brewing in St. Thomas, Ontario, has launched V-EH Lager and V-EH Amber to support veterans and first responders facing mental health challenges.
Founded in 2019 by medically retired army captain and police officer Andrew Gough, the nonprofit Veterans and Everyday Heroes aims to address gaps in mental health care, such as limited therapy access or high-cost solutions.
The beers, available in purple and red cans with QR codes linking to the organization’s website, were introduced on Canada Day as a fundraiser and awareness tool.
While currently sold only at the Lambeth branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, broader distribution is hoped for.
The initiative is part of a growing trend of Ontario breweries supporting local causes through special releases.
