Portland's Matisse Thybulle to miss at least a month after thumb surgery.
Portland Trail Blazers guard Matisse Thybulle will miss at least a month after undergoing successful surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb.
The injury occurred during a game against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, forcing him to leave early.
An MRI confirmed the tear, and the surgery was performed Friday in Los Angeles.
Thybulle, 28, is expected to be re-evaluated in four to six weeks.
He has averaged 5.0 points and 2.5 steals in four games this season, all off the bench.
