Hennessey, a 2023 recruit, was hospitalized for several days and discharged Friday to cheers from medical staff and fellow officers.
A second officer was also injured during the incident, which included a high-speed pursuit and a head-on collision with a police vehicle.
Janiczek, charged with attempted murder and other offenses, remains in custody without bail.
A viral TikTok video of the attack is being used in the investigation led by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
