Montana commissioner faces ethics complaint over alleged use of public resources for private medical practice.
Montana Public Service Commission Commissioner Annie Bukacek faces an ethics complaint from former president Brad Molnar, who alleges she used public office resources for her private medical practice, including copy machines and supplies.
Molnar, removed in a 3-2 vote, reported finding discarded medical documents in commission trash and raised concerns with Vice President Jennifer Fielder, who did not intervene.
The Montana Commissioner of Political Practices is reviewing whether the complaint falls under its jurisdiction.
Bukacek has not commented.
The PSC selected Jeff Welborn as its new permanent president in a 3-2 vote, with all five commissioners being Republicans.
Molnar is also under investigation for alleged unprofessional conduct, which he says is politically motivated.
Governor Greg Gianforte has not acted on a request to suspend Molnar.
