Justin Baldoni’s $400M defamation lawsuit against Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and The New York Times was dismissed for missing an appeal deadline.
Justin Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit against Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and The New York Times has been officially dismissed after he failed to file an appeal by the court deadline.
The case, which stemmed from Lively’s sexual harassment allegations during the filming of *It Ends With Us*, was previously dismissed by Judge Lewis Liman, who ruled that Lively’s claims were protected under civil rights law and that the Times’ reporting was based on her formal complaint.
Reynolds’ comments were deemed consistent with her account and not defamatory.
Lively’s countersuit remains active, and her legal team is seeking reimbursement for her defense costs.
Baldoni denies the allegations, which are scheduled for trial in March.
