Zoo Atlanta introduces two new animals to its African Savanna exhibit as part of conservation efforts.
Zoo Atlanta has introduced Neighomi, a 2-year-old plains zebra from Oregon, and Olive, an 11-month-old ostrich from Georgia, to its African Savanna exhibit.
Both animals are being gradually acclimated to their new environment and are not yet on public display.
They are joining existing animals—Neighomi with zebras Wembe and Imara, and Olive with ostrich Purple—to improve social dynamics.
The additions are part of the zoo’s conservation and education efforts, with support from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Species Survival Plan.
The exhibit features multiple African species and is part of a larger conservation-focused complex.
