Wales proposes new council boundaries to balance voter representation, increasing seats to 59, with feedback due by Nov. 12, 2025.
The Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru has released draft proposals to redraw council ward boundaries in the Vale of Glamorgan, aiming to equalize elector representation.
The plan increases council size from 58 to 59 members, maintains 26 wards with 20 unchanged, and seeks to bring all wards within 20% of the target average of 1,752 electors per councillor.
Wenvoe and Llandow would see the largest remaining imbalances.
The proposals include 20 multi-member wards with varying councillor numbers.
Public consultation runs until 12 November 2025 via email, post, or online.
