Sri Lanka has secured a $90 million loan from the Asian Development Bank to advance its Second Integrated Road Investment Program, aiming to upgrade 500 kilometers of rural roads to all-weather, climate-resilient standards and improve accessibility for vulnerable groups.
The project also includes rehabilitating 21 kilometers of national roads and maintaining 100 kilometers of rural roads, with the broader goal of enhancing connectivity and infrastructure resilience across the country.
