Port Adelaide removed Warren Tredrea from its board after he refused to apologize for a podcast with a figure accused of anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial.
Port Adelaide has removed former premiership captain Warren Tredrea from its board after he refused to issue a public apology for hosting a podcast with AJ Roberts, accused of promoting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and Holocaust denial.
The club said the decision, based on governance standards, was not tied to Tredrea’s playing legacy, which remains celebrated.
Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the board concluded his continued role was not in the club’s best interests.
The move follows a review under the Corporations Act and AFL guidelines, with no further comment planned.
