Merseyside Police have activated dispersal zones in Wirral and Liverpool ahead of Halloween and Mischief Night, granting officers powers to order people over 10 to leave specific areas if they cause harassment or alarm.
The measures, effective from October 30 to November 2, apply to parts of New Ferry, Woodchurch Estate, Huyton, Stockbridge Village, Prescot, and Kirkby, with return to the zones after being directed to leave considered an arrestable offence.
Authorities aim to prevent vandalism, firework incidents, and large gatherings, urging parents to speak with youth and the public to report concerns through police channels or Crimestoppers.
