A $50 million twin service centre project is set to begin near the Tea Gardens turn-off on the Pacific Highway in New South Wales, rebuilding the site of the 2018 fire-damaged Rock Roadhouse.
Construction, expected to take 24 months, will restore the iconic southbound facility and include a parallel northbound centre, with rezoning proposals to be submitted by year’s end.
The development, backed by Transport for NSW and industry leaders, aims to address rising freight demands, with traffic projected to double by 2030.
The new centres will feature 24-hour petrol stations, major fast-food chains, and ample parking for trucks and buses, marking the first major Pacific Highway upgrade in the region since 2008.
