China Eastern Airlines increases Shanghai–New Delhi flights to five weekly starting Jan. 2, 2026, due to demand.
China Eastern Airlines will boost its weekly direct flights between Shanghai Pudong and New Delhi from three to five starting January 2, 2026, due to high demand.
The new schedule includes flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
InterGlobe Air Transport will manage operations and sales.
The airline also plans new routes to Kolkata and Mumbai to strengthen ties in trade, tourism, and culture.
This follows the resumption of services to India in November 2025 after a five-year pause, coinciding with IndiGo’s launch of direct flights from Kolkata to Guangzhou.
