Children’s Health Ireland won’t fire business manager Anita Little, who was dismissed over patient delisting, after a court blocked her removal.
Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) has agreed not to dismiss or replace business manager Anita Little, who was fired in August over allegations she followed orders to delist 10 patients from a spinal surgery waiting list.
The High Court granted an interim injunction preventing her dismissal, and CHI has withdrawn job advertisements and committed to keeping her position unfilled pending further court orders.
Little claims the disciplinary process was unfair, denying her the right to present evidence or call witnesses.
Judge Brian Cregan indicated he is likely to rule that she continue receiving her salary during the case, with a further hearing scheduled for Friday.
