The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine has awarded $27 million to establish three Community Care Centers of Excellence in South Los Angeles, the Inland Empire and Desert Region, and the Central Valley to expand access to cell and gene therapy clinical trials for underserved populations.
The centers, set to launch in early 2026, will address geographic, economic, and social barriers by building local treatment infrastructure, offering patient support services, and creating workforce training opportunities.
