Boston Bruins' Elias Lindholm and Canucks' Brock Boeser both left games with lower-body injuries from separate incidents.
Boston Bruins center Elias Lindholm left Thursday’s game against the Buffalo Sabres in the second period with a lower-body injury from a collision with Jordan Greenway, ending his night.
The 30-year-old, who had 17 goals and 47 points in 82 games last season, was playing on Boston’s top line.
Meanwhile, Vancouver Canucks winger Brock Boeser exited their game against the St. Louis Blues just 33 seconds into the first period after being struck in the lower midsection by a slap shot from teammate Elias Pettersson.
Boeser, who had six points in nine games this season, was ruled out for the remainder of the game and joins a growing list of Canucks injured players, including Quinn Hughes and Conor Garland.
