A man in his 70s died in a fire at a Lisburn flat on Tonagh Drive on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
Firefighters from Lisburn Fire Station responded at 10:50 p.m., entered the building with breathing apparatus, and extinguished the blaze using a hose reel jet.
The man, the sole occupant, died as a result of the fire, which officials believe was accidental.
Fire crews left the scene around 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service extended condolences to the victim’s family and friends.
