Uttar Pradesh is fast-tracking a ship-shaped naval museum in Lucknow to showcase India’s maritime history and boost tourism.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to fast-track construction of the Nausena Shaurya Sangrahalaya, a naval museum in Lucknow designed to resemble a ship and showcase India’s maritime heritage.
The museum will feature preserved naval assets including the INS Gomati frigate, TU-142 aircraft, and Sea King helicopter, along with interactive exhibits like a 7D theatre, flight simulators, a digital water screen show, and a submerged Dwarka model.
It will highlight India’s naval legacy, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s contributions, and incorporate eco-friendly design elements.
A tourism committee will oversee the project, aiming to boost national tourism and strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s cultural identity.
