Two women arrested after a cross-border chase following a bank fraud attempt with fake IDs.
A 37-year-old Kansas woman, Rachael Kennedy, and a 31-year-old Georgia woman, Rashidah Henry, were arrested after a high-speed chase across the U.S.-Canada border on October 24, 2025, following an alleged attempt by Kennedy to use a fake passport at a Maine bank.
The pursuit began in Houlton, Maine, after police responded to a reported bank fraud attempt, leading to a chase on Interstate 95 into Canada, where the Royal Canadian Mounted Police took over and made the arrests.
Both women are jailed in Aroostook County and face multiple charges, including forgery, attempted theft, eluding police, and criminal conspiracy.
Authorities allege Kennedy used fake IDs in a multi-state fraud scheme, reportedly stealing nearly $30,000 from banks in Nebraska and Maine.
The FBI is investigating, though its involvement was limited by the federal government shutdown.
