Taiwan’s Executive Yuan announced financial aid on October 30, 2025, for pig farmers and related businesses affected by an African swine fever outbreak in Taichung.
A 15-day ban on pig slaughter, transport, and food waste feeding was imposed.
Farmers receive NT$300 per pig for feed costs due to the waste ban and NT$810 per pig for feed during the slaughter halt, plus up to NT$18,000 for fuel.
