The RSS holds its first major national meeting in 41 years to plan its centenary, including nationwide events and a campaign on family values.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is holding its first major national meeting in Jabalpur in 41 years, with over 500 senior leaders, including RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, gathering for an eight-day event.
The focus is on planning the organization’s centenary celebrations from October 2025 to October 2026, including 100,000 Hindu conferences nationwide and a door-to-door campaign from November to January promoting family values and civic awareness.
The event, part of the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal conference, also addresses the Panch Parivartan initiative and upcoming commemorations of Guru Tegh Bahadur’s martyrdom and Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the RSS’s role in national unity, having released a commemorative stamp and coin to mark the centenary.
Founded in 1925 in Nagpur by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the RSS began as a volunteer group focused on cultural awareness and civic responsibility.
