Michigan expands Double Up Food Bucks through 2025 to offset paused SNAP benefits, removing limits and adding $40 produce vouchers.
Michigan is expanding its Double Up Food Bucks program through December 2025 to help families maintain access to healthy food during a federal SNAP benefit pause starting November 1.
The expansion removes the 90-day limit on benefits, eliminates the $20 daily earning cap, and allows frozen fruits and vegetables to be purchased with the benefit.
A new $40 Double Up Bonus Bucks voucher, usable only on fresh or frozen produce without requiring a SNAP match, will be issued starting November 1.
The program remains active at 237 participating locations, and existing SNAP and Double Up funds remain accessible.
