A man in his 70s is set to stand trial in June 2026 on 79 alleged historical sexual offences, including indecent assaults and attempted rape, involving four girls aged 8 to 15 between 1971 and 1981 in south Dublin.
Charges are distributed across the victims, with the highest number linked to two individuals.
The accused, arrested in July, did not attend a brief court hearing.
His defense counsel requested a trial date, which was granted by Mr Justice Paul McDermott at the Central Criminal Court, with evidence disclosure required before a review in January 2026.
The case remains under investigation, and the accused has not been convicted.
