Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. is recovering from a knee injury and improving daily, while WR Drake London nears return from a hip issue.
Atlanta Falcons coach Raheem Morris expressed confidence in quarterback Michael Penix Jr., saying he’s improving daily from a knee bone bruise sustained Oct. 19 against the 49ers. Penix, who missed the 34-10 loss to the Dolphins, attended team meetings and participated in walk-through practices, with further evaluation pending. He has started six games this season, throwing for 1,409 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions, plus a rushing touchdown. Wide receiver Drake London, sidelined by a hip injury, is expected to return to practice this week. London leads the Falcons with 38 receptions and 469 receiving yards and is tied with Bijan Robinson with two receiving touchdowns. Both players are progressing, according to Morris.
