AB InBev to replace Heineken as Champions League beer sponsor in 2027 with €200M annual deal.
AB InBev, owner of Budweiser, is set to replace Heineken as the official beer sponsor of soccer’s Champions League in a six-year deal starting in 2027.
The agreement, managed by new sales agent Relevent, will cover all UEFA men’s club competitions and is valued at about 200 million euros annually.
This ends Heineken’s 30-year sponsorship, which paid over 100 million euros yearly.
The shift is part of UEFA and the European Football Clubs group’s effort to boost revenue, aiming for 5 billion euros per season by 2027.
AB InBev’s entry adds the Champions League to its global sports portfolio, which includes FIFA and the Olympics.
