Thousands of international runners are gathering in Central Park for the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon Opening Ceremony, featuring the Parade of Nations from nearly 140 countries and Hall of Fame honors, with live coverage beginning Friday, October 28, on ABC7 New York. The main marathon race takes place Sunday, November 2, with tens of thousands of runners completing the 26.2-mile course across all five boroughs, starting in Staten Island and finishing in Central Park. ABC7 New York will provide pre-race and live race coverage on Channel 7 and ESPN2, including finish-line footage starting at 8 p.m. A short film, “26.2,” highlights the personal journeys of four New Yorkers training for the 2024 race.
