Tencent's CarbonX Program 2.0 selects 50 global finalists from 12 countries to advance climate tech with up to $28M in funding and pilot support.
Tencent has selected 50 global finalists for its CarbonX Program 2.0, a climate tech initiative supporting innovations in carbon dioxide removal, industrial decarbonization, carbon capture, and long-duration energy storage.
The finalists, from 12 countries and chosen from over 660 applicants worldwide, will receive up to RMB200 million ($28 million), mentorship, and real-world pilot opportunities in Kenya, the Maldives, and Serbia.
The program aims to bridge the gap between early-stage research and large-scale deployment, fostering collaboration to reduce emissions, support hard-to-abate industries, and enhance renewable energy integration.
Winners will be announced in early 2026.
