Sikh separatists threaten to disrupt Diljit Dosanjh’s Melbourne concert over his foot-touching gesture to Amitabh Bachchan, linking it to 1984 Sikh genocide accusations.
The US-based Sikh separatist group Sikhs for Justice, led by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, has threatened to disrupt Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s November 1 concert in Melbourne, Australia, accusing him of insulting 1984 Sikh genocide victims by touching the feet of actor Amitabh Bachchan.
The group claims Bachchan incited violence with the slogan "Khoon ka badala khoon" during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, which the Akal Takht commemorates as Sikh Genocide Remembrance Day.
The SFJ, banned in India under the UAPA, has called for a Panthic Shutdown Rally outside the venue.
Dosanjh, who has not responded publicly, is set to perform as part of his AURA 2025 world tour, with the event coinciding with the 41st anniversary of the riots.
Los separatistas sikh amenazan con interrumpir el concierto de Diljit Dosanjh en Melbourne por su gesto de tocar el pie a Amitabh Bachchan, vinculándolo a las acusaciones de genocidio sikh de 1984.
