Jamal Salameh, 31, denies supplying a Hyundai i30 as a getaway car in the 2022 Sydney murder linked to gang violence.
Jamal Salameh, 31, is on trial in New South Wales for allegedly supplying a blue Hyundai i30 as a getaway car in the 2022 murder of Rami Iskander in Sydney, part of a gang-related violence tied to the killings of Iskander’s uncle, Mahmoud “Brownie” Ahmad, and Comanchero gang members Omar and Tarek Zahed.
Prosecutors say Salameh, a luxury car dealer, provided low-value vehicles—both the Hyundai and a Subaru Forester—knowing they’d be used in retaliatory attacks, with CCTV showing the Hyundai being driven to his business before being taken by an intermediary.
The shooters fled in a black Audi, switching vehicles twice, with the Audi and a Toyota RAV4 later found burnt out; the Hyundai was never recovered.
Salameh denies knowing the cars would be used in a murder.
The trial, focused on his knowledge, is set for closing submissions on November 7, with all suspects still at large.
