Iowa State University will host public forums for three presidential finalists, with the board announcing the new president on November 11.
Iowa State University will host public forums November 4–6 for three finalists in its presidential search, with each candidate appearing in the Memorial Union’s Durham Great Hall from 4 to 5 p.m. and the events livestreamed online.
The finalists, selected from eight semifinalists who emerged from nearly 80 applicants, will meet with campus stakeholders, and their identities and resumes will be released 24 hours before each visit.
One finalist withdrew, leaving three candidates.
After the visits, the Iowa Board of Regents will hold a closed session on November 11 to select the new president, with an announcement expected the same day at 6 p.m.
The search follows the retirement of President Wendy Wintersteen after 46 years.
