Comcast broke ground on October 28, 2025, in Lemoore, California, launching a project to bring high-speed, symmetrical Xfinity broadband to over 4,000 homes and businesses in rural Kings County.
The $21 million project, funded by a federal grant and Comcast’s private investment, is expected to be completed by late 2026.
It includes multi-gigabit speeds, 99.9% reliability, and built-in cybersecurity.
Comcast also pledged $10,000 to the Kings Community Action Organization to improve digital access.
The expansion supports broader digital inclusion efforts, building on Comcast’s $4 billion in California infrastructure spending over the past three years and its Internet Essentials program, which has connected over 2.2 million Californians since 2011.
