BPCL and OIL plan a $12 billion refinery and petrochemical complex in Andhra Pradesh, targeting completion by 2030.
BPCL and OIL have signed a non-binding agreement to develop a ₹1-lakh-crore greenfield refinery and petrochemical complex in Andhra Pradesh’s Ramayapatnam, with a capacity of 9–12 million tonnes annually and a 1.5 MTPA ethylene cracker, aiming for completion by 2030.
The project has secured land and statutory clearances, with OIL considering a minority stake.
BPCL also partnered with OIL and Numaligarh Refinery to build a 700-km pipeline from Siliguri to Mughalsarai for fuel transport, and with FACT to market organic fertilizers from a biogas plant in Kochi that processes 150 MT of municipal waste daily.
