Billionaire Tom Golisano has pledged $253 million to create the Golisano Children’s Alliance, a national network of ten children’s hospitals across the U.S.
The funds, distributed over five years with no spending restrictions, will support six new hospitals—including those in Kentucky, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and West Virginia—each receiving between $25 million and $50 million.
The initiative, which includes existing facilities in New York and Florida, aims to improve pediatric care through collaboration on research, innovation, and access.
As part of the gift, each hospital will be renamed in Golisano’s honor and will join a coordinated network focused on quality, inclusion, and expanding services.
The alliance will be led from Rochester, with its first meeting planned for 2026.
