Led by Professor Ian Convery, the guidelines offer a science-based, adaptable framework for ecosystem restoration, emphasizing inclusivity, local knowledge, and social engagement.
Developed with input from over 60 organizations and hundreds of experts and communities, they draw on the university’s research, including the Back On Our Map and South Cumbria Pine Marten Recovery projects.
The guidelines aim to support diverse rewilding efforts worldwide, promoting resilient landscapes and shared ecological and social benefits.
