Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre will close in 2027 for a renovation to become a year-round venue with expanded seating and a roof, reopening in 2030.
Toronto’s waterfront music venue, now called the RBC Amphitheatre, will close in fall 2027 for a renovation expected to last until summer 2030.
The project, part of a larger Ontario Place redevelopment, will expand summer lawn seating to 9,000, add a movable roof to enable year-round indoor concerts, and improve accessibility with elevators and a second pedestrian bridge.
The venue, which hosts about 75 shows annually, will reopen as a fully year-round facility with enhanced amenities and preserved skyline views.
A temporary venue will host events during construction.
