Santander and NatWest lowered mortgage rates today, with Santander also raising borrowing limits and adjusting loan terms.
Santander has lowered fixed mortgage rates across most products by up to 0.36%, effective today, with reductions for home movers, first-time buyers, remortgage borrowers, and buy-to-let investors.
New minimum loan sizes of £25,000 apply to remortgage deals with a £999 fee, and the bank launched large loan products for loans between £500,000 and £5 million.
The maximum LTV for remortgaging with capital raising will rise to 90% starting 28 October 2025, allowing more borrowing for home improvements or shared ownership, though debt consolidation remains capped at 85%.
NatWest also cut rates across several products.
