Missouri expands CWD zone, mandates deer disposal, and adjusts hunting rules for 2025–2026.
Missouri has updated its 2025–2026 deer hunting rules, adding 12 counties to the CWD Management Zone due to confirmed cases or proximity to affected areas.
Hunters must now dispose of unused deer parts on-site or in landfills and telecheck their harvest by 10 p.m. the day of harvest.
Antler-point restrictions are lifted in some areas, and youth hunters may now take more than one deer during the Early Youth Portion.
Hunters in several counties can fill up to four antlerless permits, and qualifying landowners may receive two landowner permits.
Free CWD testing is available statewide, with mandatory sampling in newly added counties on November 15–16.
The Share the Harvest Program encourages donations of venison to food pantries.
