Lighthouse Canton to invest $1.5B in India’s private credit and real estate over 3–4 years, launching a new fund by Jan 2026.
Singapore-based Lighthouse Canton plans to invest over $1.5 billion in India over the next three to four years, focusing on private credit and real estate, with more than $1 billion in private credit and $500 million in real estate.
The firm, which manages $4 billion globally, already has over $350 million in Indian alternative assets, including a 1.2 million square-foot life sciences portfolio in Hyderabad.
It plans to launch a new India-focused private credit fund targeting Rs 10–15 billion ($113.8–170.7 million) by January 2026, aiming at mid-market deals from $10 million to $50 million.
India’s private credit market reached $25–30 billion in assets under management by March 2025, with nearly 55% of capital from global funds.
The company operates seven offices in India and is expanding into Bengaluru and Mumbai.
