Irishman Ben Denning Galligan remains in a coma after a serious crash in Western Australia, sustaining severe injuries and losing his right arm.

A 25-year-old Irishman from County Cavan, Ben Denning Galligan, remains in an induced coma at Royal Perth Hospital after a severe road crash in remote Western Australia on October 14. While on a working holiday visa and working in construction, he suffered a traumatic brain injury, spinal injuries, and the amputation of his right arm. His family has flown from Ireland to be with him, and a GoFundMe campaign has raised over €184,000 toward a €210,000 goal to cover ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, travel, and accommodation costs. The funds will also support health organizations, with any surplus going to charity.
