National Award-winning Indian filmmaker Srijit Mukherji is set to direct 'Elementary, My Dear Holmes,' a British-Indian co-production about Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes.
The film, set in 1906 London, explores Doyle’s personal struggles, including his wife’s dying wish for him to remarry, and his real-life efforts to correct injustices in the cases of George Edalji and Oscar Slater using deductive reasoning.
Backed by the Conan Doyle Estate and produced under the UK-India Co-Production Treaty, the project is a collaboration between Mukherji’s Matchcut Productions and London-based Invisible Thread Media.
