flag The INDIA bloc unveiled its Bihar election manifesto pledging jobs, free electricity, cash transfers, and infrastructure projects ahead of Nov. 6–14 polls.

The INDIA bloc, led by Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Tejashwi Yadav, launched its Bihar Assembly election manifesto, “Bihar ka Tejashwi Pran,” on October 28, 2025, promising a government job for one family member, 200 units of free electricity, and ₹2,500 monthly cash transfers to women. The alliance pledged to make contractual workers and Jeevika Didis permanent with ₹30,000 monthly salaries, restore the Old Pension Scheme, and establish IT parks, SEZs, dairy and agro-industries, an education city, and five new expressways. It is also committed to launching an employment guarantee scheme within 20 months, lifting the ban on toddy, and transferring Bodh Gaya temple management to the Buddhist community. The bloc criticized the NDA for not releasing a manifesto or naming a chief ministerial candidate, while asserting it was the first to announce both. The elections are set for November 6 and 11, with results on November 14.
