GIFT Nifty futures hit a record $21.23 billion in open interest on Oct. 24, 2025, reflecting rising global investor interest.
GIFT Nifty, the international Nifty futures contract on NSE International Exchange in GIFT City, reached a record open interest of $21.23 billion on October 24, 2025, surpassing its prior high from September 2024.
The milestone reflects growing global investor confidence and increased participation since the platform’s full launch on July 3, 2023.
By October 24, 2025, the contract had recorded over 52.22 million cumulative trades and $2.37 trillion in turnover.
The exchange, regulated by IFSCA and operating with over 99.7% market share in GIFT IFSC, offers a range of derivatives and securities, including access for U.S. investors via CFTC and SEC exemptions.
India’s Finance Minister recently announced a foreign currency settlement system in GIFT City to boost international trade and investment.
