flag France’s TotalEnergies and Saudi Aljomaih win 400 MW solar deal in As Sufun, set for 2027.

France’s TotalEnergies and Saudi Arabia’s Aljomaih Energy & Water have won a 400 MW solar project in As Sufun, Saudi Arabia, under a 25-year power purchase agreement. The plant, part of the country’s Round 6 National Renewable Energy Program, is set to begin operations in 2027 and power over 68,000 homes. The project supports Saudi Arabia’s goal of sourcing 50% of its electricity from renewables and reducing fossil fuel use. TotalEnergies, already active in Saudi solar projects, calls this its second NREP success. The partnership reflects expanding international participation in Saudi Arabia’s clean energy drive.
