Dave Winner, a Coalcliff Beach accident survivor saved by bystanders who performed CPR, is leading a campaign to train over a million Australians in life-saving techniques by 2030.
His foundation, supported by a $700,000 grant from IMB Bank’s Community Foundation, is developing a mobile app to expand access, especially to everyday people like nannies and grandparents.
The foundation has already trained more than 261,000 Australians.
The grant, part of IMB’s 26-year program, supports 58 not-for-profits with $700,000 total, including POD Projects, which uses funds to maintain dignity bag distribution amid rising costs.
