Delhi Police have arrested Aman, the mastermind behind a fake Instagram scam using the account 'delhi_apple_store0' to sell non-existent iPhones. The victim, a young social media user, was tricked into making 29 UPI payments totaling 65,782 rupees for a phone and fake fees like shipping and customs. After receiving the money, the scammer stopped communicating. Authorities traced the operation to Kalirawan village in Haryana, where Aman was arrested during a midnight raid on October 23, 2025. Police recovered two phones, three debit cards, a calling device, and multiple numbers linked to the fraud. The gang used fake customer messages, fabricated images, and UPI QR codes to build trust, targeting youth seeking discounted electronics. Funds were routed through multiple accounts to hide their source. The case, filed at Delhi’s Cyber Crime Police Station, remains under investigation.
