Tim Weah, the U.S. winger, was substituted in the second half of Marseille’s 2-1 Ligue 1 loss to Lens on October 25, 2025, after sustaining a left thigh injury shortly after providing his first assist of the season.
Marseille did not disclose the injury’s severity, but coach Roberto De Zerbi called it “very bad news” if serious.
Weah, who returned to Marseille this summer after a two-year stint at Juventus, had previously played four seasons at Lille, including their 2021 title-winning campaign.
His father, George Weah, played for Marseille 25 years ago.
