Riyadh Air launched its first London flight on Oct. 26, 2025, using a Boeing 787-9.
Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, launched its first daily passenger flight from Riyadh to London Heathrow on October 26, 2025, using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner named “Jamila.” The inaugural flight, operated by the airline’s Public Investment Fund-owned entity, is part of a phased rollout to refine operations before broader public service.
The airline, approved in April 2025, aims to expand to over 100 global destinations by 2030, with routes to Dubai and others planned for 2025 and 2026.
The launch supports Saudi Vision 2030 goals to boost tourism, diversify the economy, and strengthen global connectivity.
