A Pakistani high court has set November 4 for a hearing on a petition demanding the closure of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s X account, alleging his posts from prison incite unrest.
The Islamabad High Court, led by Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, has directed Khan, the National Cyber Crime Agency, and prison officials to submit responses.
The petition, filed by a citizen through lawyer Zafarullah, claims the account spreads illegal and inflammatory content.
The NCCIA is investigating, having questioned Khan twice and issued a 21-point questionnaire.
Separately, a court postponed a hearing on interim bail for Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, in a protest-related case, rescheduling it to November 15.
